Invention patent, new patent, new style patent
2.There are three ways to apply for a French patent:
French domestic applications, international patent applications designating European patents (PCT applications) and European patent applications designating France.

1. French patent application documents:
1) Instructions and schemata;
2), appointment letter (can be added later)
2, the French invention patent application priority claim:
1) An application to claim priority within 12 months from the date of application of the first application of another country;
2), the application is required to claim, the priority document certification can be supplemented.
3, French invention patent application examination procedures:
1), review system;
2) Novelty investigation shall be submitted at the time of application or within 18 months from the date of application (priority date) (otherwise it will be automatically converted into a new type patent case);
3) The patent application is published 18 months after the filing date (priority date).
4, the French invention patent patent maintenance fee: from the date of application to pay every year.
5, French invention patent term: 20 years from the date of application.
French invention patents can be converted into French new patents, but French new patents cannot be converted into French invention patents.

5, the French new model patent term: 50 years from the date of application.
