As the construction of the "Belt and Road" advances to a higher level and a broader space, China and relevant countries or regions are gradually forming a new pattern of regional coordination and mutually beneficial development, and are launching efficient cooperation and full competition in a more open market. Some surveys show that, on the one hand, patent activities between my country and countries along the "Belt and Road" are becoming increasingly active, and the pace of Chinese companies' "going out" is accelerating; on the other hand, 3/4 of domestic companies feel that they have obtained overseas intellectual property rights. The amount of information is limited, and there is greater uncertainty about the intellectual property risks of enterprises in the process of expanding overseas markets. In response to the problems encountered by enterprises, the relevant government departments should provide active assistance.
On July 14, the "Belt and Road Initiative" and the press conference on intellectual property environment reports of relevant countries or regions in Latin America "was solemnly held in Beijing. Gan Shaoning, deputy director of the State intellectual property Office, pointed out at the press conference that a new round of global scientific and technological revolution and industrial transformation is ready to take place, the transformation of new and old momentum of China's economic development is speeding up, and the trend of innovation leading development is becoming increasingly obvious. the basic guarantee role of the intellectual property system to stimulate innovation will be more prominent. According to statistics, in 2015, China applied for 3287 patents in 15 countries along the "Belt and Road", and 41 countries along the route applied for 3127 patents in China. In the first half of this year, 34 countries along the route came to China to apply for 1664 patents, an increase of 20.8 percent over the same period last year. Patent activities between China and countries along the route have become increasingly active.He stressed that in the process of "going out", Chinese enterprises should fully understand the rules and environment of overseas intellectual property rights, respect the rights of others, and safeguard their own rights and interests. He said that the State intellectual property Office will better perform the functions of a service-oriented government, provide better intellectual property-related services, and better help enterprises develop overseas.
This conference invited well-known experts, scholars and lawyers at home and abroad to give lectures on topics such as the Middle East, Central and Eastern Europe, Latin America, Central Asia, Mongolia, and Turkey's intellectual property environment, which effectively enhanced the relevant government departments, industries and The enterprise's understanding and application of research results was warmly welcomed by the participants. At the press conference, the State Intellectual Property Office also released the "Overview of the Intellectual Property Environment of the Belt and Road and Related Countries or Regions in Latin America" and the "List of Intellectual Property Service Institutions in the Belt and Road" Related Countries and Regions ". Among them, there are 10 volumes of the overview, involving India, Russia, ASEAN, Central Asia, the Middle East, Central and Eastern Europe, Latin America and other countries or regions, covering 47 countries along the "Belt and Road Initiative" route and 11 countries in Latin America. The list of institutions contains the basic information and contact information of the intellectual property authorities and well-known intellectual property service institutions of all countries along the "Belt and Road Initiative" route.
